Units are tracked real-world entities such as vehicles, machinery and people.

To monitor a unit, it is required to attach a Fleetometer terminal to it for sending data messages to the monitoring system. You can also connect different types of sensors to the unit (wired and wirelessly) to receive data on temperature, humidity, magnetic door contacts, SOS buttons, etc. Fleetometer OBD terminals may also treat vehicle on- board diagnostic data parameters as sensor values.

On the Units tab, you can view all the units created in your account. When you purchase a Fleetometer terminal, a corresponding unit is created. You can monitor them in the Monitoring tab. There is a dynamic search which works by unit name on the tab.

Deactivated units are not displayed on the tab.
