Scenarios
Monitoring the state (open/close) of your cargo door can be useful in tracing when your cargo was accessed. You can also set up a notification that alerts you when the door was opened at a location other than your customer’s delivery point. This can be accomplished with either an OBD or wired Fleetometer terminal, paired with a Bluetooth sensor. The sensor monitors for the presence of a magnet. We do not provide the magnets in this scenario and the placement of the sensor/alignment of the magnet is the customer’s responsibility.
This wireless solution is a low cost alternative to wired sensors, which required alot of installation work, fishing wires through the cargo compartment, considerations for cab tilting and several possibilities for wire damage/shorting especially in cold chain transport.
